Amplifying DEI Insights: Juan Taveras’ Inclusive Leader Spotlight Podcast

I had the honor of being featured on the Inclusive Leader Spotlight podcast, hosted by Juan Taveras at DEI Pro Finder. This platform is dedicated to the voices of leaders who are making a real impact in DEI, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. We dove into essential topics, like debunking common misunderstandings about DEI. One misconception I addressed is the idea that DEI is merely a compliance requirement or a checkbox. In reality, DEI is about fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Another critical conversation centered around how we bring DEI principles to life in our daily work. At Thrive Limitlessly, we make DEI a core part of everything we do—from the way we structure our programs to the partnerships we form. This podcast episode, tentatively airing in early 2025, will hopefully inspire other leaders to see DEI as an integral part of their organizational DNA, driving both individual and collective success.

Chicago Memories: Family, Culture, and Firsts

September was special for me because I got to bring my family back to Chicago—my city. This trip was more than just a visit; it was my son’s first time getting to know the place where I grew up and meeting my side of the family. It felt amazing to share the city’s vibe with him and see things through his fresh eyes.

Chicago welcomed us with open arms, from live jazz at the Jazz Festival to sunny days exploring Millennium Park and Navy Pier. But nothing beat the family barbecue, where we all gathered, laughing, eating, and just catching up. It was one of those perfect Chicago afternoons, full of stories and good food. Watching my son take it all in, seeing him surrounded by family and feeling that Chicago love—it reminded me why family and culture matter so much.

Trips like this aren’t just about sightseeing; they’re about reconnecting with roots and passing on those memories. It reinforced my work at Thrive Limitlessly, where we’re all about creating spaces that help people connect, grow, and thrive together.

Leading with Intention: The Art of Delegation on the Boss Lady Panel

On October 30th, I had the privilege of participating in the Boss Lady Panel: The Art of Delegation, hosted by L' Shanell + Co. Delegation is a skill that challenges many leaders, and this panel was a fantastic opportunity to dive into how letting go can lead to increased productivity and a more engaged team. Together with other panelists, we explored strategies for deciding what to delegate, nurturing team trust, and creating accountability structures. I also shared my personal framework for delegation, focusing on four main factors: time commitment, client impact, alignment with yearly goals, and revenue implications.

For me, building a team at Thrive Limitlessly was no easy feat, especially when I had to balance growth with the need to delegate effectively. It took time, trust, and a lot of trial and error to get the right balance, empowering my team to step up while I focused on the big picture. Each stage of building this team taught me that delegation isn’t just about handing off tasks; it’s about creating a supportive environment where people feel empowered to lead and contribute.

Earlier this year, Thrive Limitlessly achieved a significant milestone by securing a new trademark, allowing us to further protect and grow our brand. As part of this journey, we updated our logos to reflect this trademark, adding the trademark symbol to represent the pride and authenticity behind our brand. Our refreshed branding truly embodies the heart of Thrive Limitlessly—an organization built to support ambitious professionals and changemakers on their unique journeys. Our new trademarked logo stands as a powerful symbol of our mission and the trust our clients and partners place in us. It reflects the warmth, strength, and commitment we bring to each interaction, signaling our promise to expand our reach and impact meaningfully.

When I imagined the brand I wanted to build, three words guided me: empowerment, resilience, and fearlessness. I wanted our logo to capture these qualities and convey both a welcoming warmth and a bold invitation to growth. This visual update serves as more than just a logo; it’s a reminder of the limitless potential within each client. The name “Thrive Limitlessly” perfectly encapsulates this vision, symbolizing unbounded growth and transformation. My goal is for every client to leave not only feeling empowered and strong but also inspired to take risks and thrive without limits, carrying the spirit of our brand into their lives and careers.

Fall Raffle: Celebrating Our Thrive Tribe Community

In the spirit of gratitude and community, we hosted our Fall Raffle to give back to our incredible Thrive Tribe—the heartbeat of Thrive Limitlessly. This season, we wanted to show appreciation for the members of our Thrive Tribe who inspire us daily, and what better way than with a special raffle! We’re thrilled to announce that Paulaska Ramirez is our Fall Raffle winner! Congratulations, Paulaska! We’ll be sending you a token of our appreciation soon.

This raffle was a small way to celebrate and thank our Thrive Tribe community for their ongoing support, engagement, and shared commitment to growth and empowerment. Each member of our community strengthens Thrive Limitlessly, and we’re excited to continue building these connections as we grow together.

Forging Inclusive Futures: Our Partnership with Roadtrip Nation

One of our most inspiring partnerships this season has been with Roadtrip Nation, where we are collaborating on a DEI-focused Request for Proposal (RFP) that has the potential to drive impactful change. This isn’t just about fulfilling a consulting role; it’s about creating a lasting, scalable DEI framework that celebrates and champions inclusivity across all facets of Roadtrip Nation’s work. Our role spans multiple phases, beginning with situational analysis and continuing through the design of training programs, surveys, and focus groups—all geared toward creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone connected to their mission.

This partnership is particularly meaningful because it aligns so closely with Thrive Limitlessly’s mission of empowering individuals to navigate their unique paths with confidence and purpose. The work Roadtrip Nation does as a mission-driven career education platform directly resonates with our core values. I vividly remember reading through the RFP and feeling struck by a line that captured the spirit of our shared mission: “...we believe there’s power in doing work that’s true to who you are.” This simple but profound statement encapsulates the essence of both Roadtrip Nation and Thrive Limitlessly: helping people find success on their own terms, rooted in authenticity.

We’re incredibly excited to bring our insights and expertise to this partnership and to learn from the experiences and perspectives at Roadtrip Nation. This collaboration is a powerful opportunity to deepen our understanding of DEI’s role across various industries, and we look forward to sharing our findings as we work together towards progress.

This fall, we celebrated the birthdays of: Yohanna, our Brand Manager, and Nakoa, our Chief of Staff. At Thrive Limitlessly, we believe in fostering a culture where every individual feels valued, and celebrating birthdays is a way for us to show our appreciation.

Yohanna’s creativity and Nakoa’s dedication are invaluable to our team, and taking the time to celebrate them was a joyful reminder of our shared commitment and purpose. Birthdays at Thrive Limitlessly are more than cake and candles—they’re a way to honor the unique talents, contributions, and individuality  that each member brings to our team. This season has been a powerful reminder that our greatest asset is our people, and we’re proud to be part of a team that lifts each other up.
