This season has been a whirlwind of activity, from transformative talks and summit panels to new ventures in community building and branding. SIGNATURE TALK AT DIGITAL OCEAN: BUILDING SATISFYING CAREERS THROUGH SELF-ADVOCACY
One of the standout moments this summer was presenting our signature talk, "Unlock Your Potential: Building Satisfying Careers through Self-Advocacy," at Digital Ocean's Emerging Sharks/Young Professionals ERG kickoff meeting. This event was a great opportunity to delve into the transformative power of advocacy and the unparalleled strength of one’s unique voice in forging pathways to career fulfillment and success in the workplace.
During the talk, we explored various strategies for effective self-advocacy, emphasizing the importance of understanding one's worth and communicating it confidently. We shared practical tips on negotiating roles, seeking opportunities for professional development, and building a supportive network. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it was inspiring to see so many young professionals feel empowered to take charge of their career paths.
CIRCLECI'S INAUGURAL ERG LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
We had the privilege of participating in CircleCI's inaugural ERG Leadership Summit. This event brought together external DEI practitioners and ERG leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities in scaling ERG efforts and initiatives in the current climate. Serving on a panel, we exchanged insights on effective strategies for fostering inclusive environments, securing leadership buy-in, and measuring the impact of ERG activities.
The discussions were rich and engaging, highlighting the importance of adaptability and resilience in our ever-evolving workplace landscape. We left the summit with renewed energy and a plethora of ideas to further enhance our own ERG initiatives.
GUEST APPEARANCE ON THE UNSTUCKKD PODCAST
Another highlight was our participation in the UNSTUCKKD podcast, a platform dedicated to helping individuals get unstuck in their careers, life, finances, and business. Hosted by Kahlil Dumas, this podcast features interviews with a diverse array of guests, from entrepreneurs and celebrity figures to side hustlers and more, all providing listeners with actionable steps towards success.
Our episode focused on strategies for achieving work-life harmony. We delved into practical tips such as leveraging calendars effectively, building and relying on strong support systems, and prioritizing self-care. Sharing these insights with a wider audience was incredibly rewarding, and we hope our advice helps many navigate their personal and professional lives more smoothly.
TRADEMARK REGISTRATION: THRIVE LIMITLESSLY
This summer also marked a significant milestone for Thrive Limitlessly—we are now a trademarked brand! After years of meticulous planning and diligent effort, receiving the email titled “Congrats, Your Trademark for THRIVE LIMITLESSLY Has Been Registered!” was the best news of the year. This achievement is a testament to our unwavering belief in the power of our vision.
With this new status, we are in the process of updating all our logos to reflect our trademarked brand. This rebranding effort symbolizes our growth and commitment to providing exceptional value to our community.
BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR OUR THRIVE TRIBE ONLINE COMMUNITY
We are thrilled to announce the development of our online community, Thrive Tribe. This initiative has been fueled by the incredible input and engagement from our amazing subscribers and followers. Thrive Tribe aims to be a hub where individuals can come together online to ask questions, learn, and grow.
We are working diligently behind the scenes to create helpful and detailed exclusive content that will be available only to members of our community. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment where people can share their experiences, seek advice, and celebrate their successes together.
LAUNCHING IG LIVE SERIES: RISE AND THRIVE
In August, we are launching an exciting IG Live series titled RISE AND THRIVE. This series embodies the spirit of boldness, encouraging individuals to explore new horizons, embrace uncertainty, and seize each moment as a chance for personal growth. We champion courage, where taking risks is celebrated, and setbacks are viewed as opportunities for fearless transformation and tangible progress.
Each quarter, we will address various themes, starting with "Unlocking Potential." We look forward to engaging with our community in these live sessions, offering insights, and fostering meaningful discussions.
PERSONAL WELLNESS JOURNEY
On a personal note, I recently celebrated my birthday and attended my first wellness retreat in Arizona. This retreat was a beautiful time for rest, recharging, and self-reflection. I spent seven days listening to my body, meditating, setting intentions, journaling, working out, and focusing on my overall well-being. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of self-care and the need to prioritize our health and wellness amidst our busy lives.
